DNALife Grows on in the Life Sciences sector. The Irish economy continues to contract and recruitment opportunities are scarce;- but not in the Life Sciences sector which has seen considerable growth and continuing investment from major multinational companies such as Pfizer who have just announced they intend to invest over €11 million in a state of the R&D facility which will concentrate on developing enhanced manufacturing systems and product development processes at their existing PDC (Process Development Center) located in Ringaskiddy, Cork.

The resultant research and development breakthroughs anticipated in Cork will then be passed on to Pfizer’s global sites.

Needless to say this announcement adds considerably to Irelands appeal as a location for further investment for Foreign Direct Investment by Pfizer and its competitors who continue to see Ireland not only as a gate way to Ireland but as a center of excellence in the world of Pharmaceutical R&D.

The resultant spin off recruitment opportunities in related sectors such as medical sales, medical device and pharmaceutical sales as associated industries and companies are attracted such as Boston Scientific, Zimmer and Cook will be considerable.
