We have a fantastic new Medical Device Sales job in for a Dublin based person with Theatre Sales experience –

Territory is Dublin to Waterford –

Job Summary: To be totally competent in all aspects of the job function by:

Achieving objectives set in collaboration with unit manager in the furtherance of sales of
products to the surgical and nursing professions.
Encouraging the propagation of Company techniques via training seminars and personal
visits to nursing and surgical staff.
Attaining a high level of technical expertise in relevant product areas and surgical tech-niques.
Developing business skills in terms of managing the appointed territory.

Duties and Responsibilities
• To call on all hospitals within a pre-determined area which are in a position to purchase products.
• In this role you will be required to attend operations and visit wards as required by consultants and medical staff.
• To call on those personnel within the hospital who are able to influence the purchase of products, including supplies, medical and surgical staff. To pay special attention to Orthopaedic/Facial
• Reconstruction Surgeons of all grades and Theatre staff, as well as hospital Business Managers, Budget Holders and relevant administrative staff.
• To organise training seminars in conjunction with colleagues for own territory nursing staff where necessary.
• To attend training seminars for nursing staff on adjoining territories, as required.
• To maximise selling time by the most economical journey planning and use of territory records.
• To constantly maintain and improve own and customer knowledge by keeping up to date awareness of sales techniques, product knowledge and competitor knowledge.
• To constantly feed back ideas and information to Head Office regarding new products and competitors’ products, in accordance with the current reporting system.
• To attend training courses as and when required and participate on induction and refresher courses as required.
• To attend sales meetings and conferences as and when required.
• To maintain all Company equipment and material to a good standard at all times.
• To always present a thoroughly professional image of Company in attitude and conduct.
• To co-operate with the Unit Manager in helping to standardize customer satisfaction and quality.
• To maintain the record system of our customer base and to ensure that the in-house Database is current and up to date.
• To prepare forward business plans for the territory in line with estimated product growth, competitors activity and available potential within the territory and present those business plans to management, in accordance with current formats.
• To co-operate with other Product Units as appropriate.

Skills and Expertise needed.

• Knowledge of implant materials, range, instruments, usage techniques and anatomy.
• To be familiar with and able to offer advice with regard to recommended operative procedures involved to ensure patient satisfaction.
• To match the foregoing with high professional selling skills.
• Experienced sales person with experience of selling technical equipment within the hospital theatre
