Role

The purpose of the position is to maintain existing and develop new sales of mobility and rehabilitation equipment via clinical professionals such as occupational therapists and also direct with private customers in order to ensure sales targets are met. This to be achieved by identifying, meeting and developing relations with occupational therapists and customers in order to gain sales of equipment needed.

The role involves working closely with occupational therapists, visiting / meeting their clients who are predominantly elderly and/or disabled, conducting assessments of their needs and proposing equipment solutions which are usually funded through the HSE.

Responsibilities
” Identify therapists and clinicians for potential new sales, gaining invitations to conduct client assessments with them; leading to equipment sales.
” Identify and act on all new business opportunities for private customer sales promptly, including leads from marketing initiatives.
” Visit and develop good working relationships with existing client base.
” Introduce and gain sales of new products to client base.
” Conduct client assessments and make suitable recommendations of rehabilitation equipment in accordance with their needs.
” Maintain accurate and up to date client records
” Work with Marketing to attend and assist at events such as exhibitions / educational days.
” Provide proposals / suggestions for market development.
” Conduct market research as required from time to time, such as product feedback and evaluation.
” Provide training for clients as and where necessary.
” Work with colleagues in Company to assist in the achievement of overall company objectives.
” Attend training as and when deemed necessary to ensure knowledge and skills required to perform duties to a competent level. This training may take place through-out Ireland and UK as appropriate

 

Application Requirements

Profile A

An experienced ‘sales representative’, who is familiar with sales to the HSE via client assessments with occupational therapists.

Profile B

A clinically qualified professional such as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist with sales experience (not necessarily related) and the desire to work in sales utilising their clinical training and experience.

Profile C

A candidate of a technical or related background with the capacity to understand the route to market and is able to work in a professional sales capacity. They must demonstrate a personable manner and be able to work with people with disabilities.

It should be noted that a certain extent of physical work is associated with this position, requiring bulky demonstration equipment to be used with client visits.
